BOAT RULES

 

The following Boat Rules must be observed at all times:-

 

1. BOOKING – MEMBERS/VISITORS
Boats not in use may be booked by members and visitors on a first come first served basis at the reservoir.

2.         ADVANCED BOOKINGS:

You need to be at the reservoir to pre-book a boat.  Anyone pre-booking a boat must clearly write their name on the booking sheet, for the morning and/or afternoon session, indicating which boat will be required. Do not sign your name but please print it. Payment will be made on the day of use. Payment will be accompanied with a boat booking permit.

 

3.         AVAILABILITY:

(a)       Any boat NOT pre-booked on the day may be used.

 

4.         BOAT SESSIONS:

(a)       Anglers are entitled to one PRE-BOOKED boat session per 14 days.

(b)       A session is as displayed on the main Boat notice board.

N.B.    The Committee reserves the right to adjust timings as necessary.

 

5.        SAFETY:

(a)       Life preservers are to be worn at all times. (You must provide your own life preserver).

(b)       Life preservers are not to be used as cushions.

(c)        Boat users are not allowed to wear waders.

(d)       Standing up to cast is prohibited.

(e)       No more than two persons are to occupy the boat.

(f)        All juniors must be accompanied by an adult.

(g)       Keep clear of the overflow by the dam wall.

 

6.         FISHING:

(a)       No trolling - No angler will permit his line to be drifted over.

(b)       No spinning.

(c)        A distance of 40 metres must always be maintained between the bank and other boats.

(d)       One rod per angler will be in use at any time.

 

7.         COMPLETION OF FISHING:

(a)       Boats will be returned to the pontoon.

(b)       All litter to be taken away.

 

 8.        GENERAL:

(a)      Electric motors may be used.  Users will be liable to compensate should any damage be caused as a result of electric motor use.

           NO PETROL MOTORS ALLOWED.

(b)       No electronic fish finding equipment will be used.

(c)        All anglers use the boats at their own risk.

(d)       Boats are not transferable to other anglers, i.e. no more than 2 anglers to use a boat per session.

(e)       The Committee reserves the right to cancel bookings as and when necessary.
